Keeping things light.
What good is such versatility if you can't take it out? With no screws and a stylish, mirrored front, the slim and compact Anker 3-Port Hub expands your capability, wherever you are.

Power Usage Alerts:
To ensure a stable connection, don't use this hub with high power-consumption devices such as some large-capacity hard drives.
This hub is not meant to serve as a stand-alone charger. It is not compatible with iPads or any other devices with irregular charging requirements.

System Requirements:
Windows (32/64 bit) 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 / Vista / XP, Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.9, Linux 2.6.14 or above.
On Windows, a driver needs to be manually installed to enable ethernet connection. No drivers required for data ports on all compatible systems.

Notes:
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 users should upgrade to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 or later to avoid unstable connections.
2.4Ghz wireless devices (keyboards, mice, etc.) may not work around USB 3.0 ports. Try using a USB 2.0 connection.

Almost perfect -- but the USB cable is upside down -- impossible to use with the USB hub ports facing up
UPDATE 5/28 at bottomThe device works great, but it is very annoying that the USB cable is upside down. Plugging in the USB cable to a standard USB port will leave the device upside down. This means that the product will NEVER sit upright, because you have to twist the cable in order to plug it into your machine so that the device is not face down (USB hub facing down against the desk). As a result, the best you can do is have the device laying on its side with the cable twisted. If this is the intended design, then the USB port should be sideways so that the cable does not have to twist. As it stands, it seems like this is an unintentional design flaw.I am also concerned that this twisting of the cable and stress on the USB port will lead to damage over time, either to the cable or worse - to the USB port on my computer. Some would also say that the ethernet port is upside down, but this is not a particular standard -- some switches have tab up, others have tab down, and many have 2 rows with tab up on top row and tab down on bottom row.EDIT:After this review, Anker contacted me directly to see if there was anything they could do to resolve my experience. I asked if this is an issue with all products or if they had fixed the issue. They said no, but offered me a 25% rebate to compensate for the issue. I appreciate the move, but it wasn't so important to me since it didn't fix the issue, so I did not rapidly respond. Anker CS persisted and email me again and again to provide a rebate. I finally accepted, and immediately they asked me to share my experience. It does feel a bit like a bribe to change my review. I appreciate the effort, but immediately asking me to change my review once I accepted the rebate soured my experience.Overall, this interaction does not change the product or my review of the product. I respect Anker as a business for generally providing decent quality products at fair prices and with good customer service.
